Red Hot Spirits is all about whisky. More specifically, we are about single malt scotch. We are whisky aficionados and promote scotch in different ways, from tastings, to wine and spirit exhibitions to trade shows. In addition, Ferne Glaser is an accomplished nutritionist. She has recently published a cookbook featuring recipes incorporating single malt whisky as a principal ingredient. Erich Sisa has an extensive background in marketing and sales.
Single malt whisky has gained significant popularity over the last decade. Many people are interested in trying the product, but lack the knowledge of where to begin. Part of our goal is to educate people to help them select a scotch suitable to their taste and pocketbook. We encourage them to try new and different single malts and explore whisky from different regions of Scotland.
Whisky tastings provide an excellent opportunity to promote single malts. As part of our event, we educate the participants about whisky production and its history in Scotland. An integral part of our presentation is the promotion of the distillery where the whisky originates. The best means of accomplishing this is through a video presentation. We include pictures of the distillery and the surrounding area. We also distribute promotional literature, if available. The history of the distillery and some anecdotes are part of the presentation. This helps in building a relationship between the scotch and the distillery.
Whisky and food can complement each other. We can go one step further and incorporate scotch into the food served. Ferne Glaser has created many recipes incorporating single malt whisky. She has recently published a cookbook using and promoting a Scottish distillery. Further cookbooks are planned to promote our distillery partners.
In addition to the tastings offered above, we also provide private tastings for corporations, associations, fund raisers, etc. These programs can be tailored to accomodate the specific requirements of the event.
Another means of promoting whisky is via cooking demonstrations. Recipes from the cookbook are used and, if sufficient time is scheduled, complete meals are prepared. Alternatively, the cooking demos can be scheduled over several weeks, preparing a single dish each time.
Depending on the venue, we will provide masters of all promotional material. We request that the venue provide additional material, if required. Depending on the location of the tasting, we will work with the Chef in the selection and preparation of food from our cookbook. A detailed program is developed in co-operation with the venue management.
